Facebook Identity Theft - A Warning for Social Networkers PDF Print E-mail

October 24, 2013 - Millions of people have social networking accounts. most people never think that these accounts can lead to a form of identity theft. But that's precisely what happens when social media profiles get hacked; something which isn't uncommon. The video below pertains to a Facebook user who fell victim to such a scam and who eventually had to involve the FBI in the case. He had a security clearance which could have been jeopardized by the incident. And that could have cost him his job. The story is a warning to all social networkers. Be careful what you post online and always make sure that you are the one in control of your online identity.
