If You Aren't Worried About Contact Tracing for COVID19, You Should Be PDF Print E-mail

June 3, 2020 - If you aren't familiar with the term "contact tracing," it refers to tracking individuals who have come in contact with people who have been exposed to COVID19. Now, you may ask how someone would do that. Well, the only way is to monitor the movements of people on a mass scale. Of course, the public line being taken by local and state governments, as well as the federal government is that any such monitoring would be voluntary. But how many people would actually volunteer for that that? I know that I wouldn't. It isn't any of the government's business where I go or who I cross paths with on a daily basis. And I'm not alone in that opinion, so how on earth would something like contact tracing actually be useful?

We came across a video that actually answers that question. In short, the term "voluntary" is inaccurate. In fact, it's a lie. Watch the video and draw your own conclusions.

If this sort of tracking comes to pass, it will be in the best interest of anyone concerned with privacy to turn off location tracking on their cell phones and perhaps to even get their own burner phone and use a secondary identity on it.
