June 15, 2012 - Over the years, we've done numerous stories about how and why identity thieves like to target children. It's a particularly insidious crime because it can go undetected for years. And when it is finally discovered, it can have devastating consequences for the victims. They may find that they can't get student loans or purchase a car. They may find that many employers won't hire them. And they can have hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt run up in their names. Now, there is a new report from ABC News that says that as many as 1 in 10 children will face this predicament.
