No Place to Hide - Facial Recognition Software Comes of Age PDF Print E-mail

May 21, 2013 - This week, CBS ran a report on 60 Minutes called A Face in the Crowd: Say goodbye to anonymity. Using facial recognition software, one of the people interviewed in it was actually able to identify the names and Social Security Numbers of people based solely on their pictures. The report paints a picture that would have been considered mere science fiction just a few years ago. While you may find it disturbing - I certainly did - it really isn't surprising. And if being forewarned is being forearmed, it is well worth watching.
