The Chance Your Social Security Number is Being Used by Someone Else are 1 in 7 PDF Print E-mail

December 3, 2010 - A new report put out by ID Analytics shows that the chances are 1 in 7 that your SSN is being used by someone else. The numbers are very disturbing because they are not estimates. ID Analytics has access to credit data on virtually everyone in the United States and they came to their conclusion after reviewing their own data. Unfortunately, the company won't notify anyone who is at risk because their data suppliers have confidentiality agreements that forbid the release of information.
